As a coach, Dean is passionate about educating athletes and helping them achieve their personal best. He believes that success in triathlon goes beyond physical training; it requires building confidence, mental resilience, and strategic preparation. With his wealth of experience, Dean has a deep understanding of the physical and psychological demands of the sport, and he uses this knowledge to guide his athletes through their training and race day preparations.

Dean’s coaching philosophy is centred on individualisation—recognising that each athlete is unique, with different goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. He works closely with athletes to design tailored training programs that not only enhance physical fitness but also foster a sense of confidence and readiness for competition. His approachable and supportive style creates a positive environment where athletes can grow, learn, and challenge themselves.
